Tropical Storm Karen is still headed north toward the coast, but the storm is more disorganized and is not forecast to strengthen, according to the National Weather Service.

A tropical storm warning still extends from Morgan City, La., to the mouth of the Pearl River. Karen’s maximum sustained winds were at 40 mph this morning, and the storm was moving at 10 mph.

Rainfall is now predicted to be about 1 to 3 inches over the central gulf coast and southeast United States through Monday night.
