Williard Jefferson McCall

Mr. Willard Jefferson McCall, 82, of Flomaton passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013, in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. He was a member and deacon of Poplar Dell Baptist Church, attended W.S. Neal High School, was a former volunteer fireman with the Friendship Fire Department and a retired grounds maintenance supervisor from Whiting Field.
He was preceded in death by a son, William McCall, and a grandson, Patrick Barlow.
He is survived by his wife, Exie L. McCall of Flomaton; three daughters, Willonese (Chris) Purvis of Flomaton, Linda (Gilbert) Barlow of Walnut Hill, Fla., Pat (Kyle) Madison of Beaumont, Texas; two sisters, Ann (Jimmy Ray) Nelson of Brewton, Ellen (Aubrey) Carter of Nashville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Todd (Katrina) Purvis, Donielle (Patrick) Head, Adam (Emily) Purvis, Ronda Graves, Bryan Madison, Brandy (Mark) Ramirez, Sheri (Steven) Ray, Paula Ferguson and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Herring and the Rev. James Pugh officiating. Burial followed in Poplar Dell Cemetery Century, Fla., with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton in charge of arrangements.
