JDCC volleyball falls to PSC

Facing off against the Pensacola State Lady Pirates Monday night at home, the Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball team took a 3-0 loss. The loss dropped JDCC to 1-14 overall.
In set one, JDCC lost 25-9 before falling in set two by a score of 25-15. In set three, JDCC lost 25-12.
In set one, no Lady Warhawk had any service points. In the second set loss, Natalie Jernigan led with four service points. In set three, Lauren Pierce led with two service points and one ace.
In an earlier game for JDCC, the Lady Warhawks lost a home game to Faulkner State 3-0. JDCC dropped set one 25-14 before falling in set two 25-6 and set three 25-11. The loss to Faulkner State dropped JDCC’s record to 1-12 overall and to 0-10 in conference play.
Also in an earlier game, a home game against Wallace State-Selma, JDCC lost 3-0. Scores from the matches were not available as of press time.
The losses dropped JDCC to 1-13 overall and to 0-11 in conference play.
The Lady Warhawks will play at Southern Union Saturday at 3 p.m. before returning for a home game against Lawson on Monday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.
JDCC will play their final home game of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 23 when they host Snead for a 2 p.m. game.
The Lady Warhawks will end their regular season with a road game to Pensacola State on Monday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m.
