Jeffrey Lyn Holland

Mr. Jeffrey Lyn Holland, 53, died Saturday, october 12, 2013 in a Slidell, La., hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Brewton and had been a resident of Slidell for the last six years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brewton and was active in youth activities of the church duringhis earlier years. He was a 1978 graduate of T.R. Miller High School and attended Jefferson Davis Community College for two years. He was employed in retail merchandising employed by local grocery stores including Big Bear and IGA. He was also emploeyd by Fred’s Inc., as a store manager and a district manager in Mobile and Charlotte, S.C. He later went to be employed by Dollar Tree as a store manager in Slidell.
He is survived by his wife, Dayna Charlet Holland of Slidell; one daughter, Jennifer Holland of Brewton; one step-daughter, Alexis Vicknair of LaPlace, La.; one step-son, Michael Charlet of Slidell; three grandchildren, Jessica, Starr and Taylor of Brewton; his parents, James and June Holland of Brewton; one brother, James (Carol) Holland Jr., of Columbus, Ohio; his in-laws, Harold and Mary Charlet of Louisiana; and a host of other relatives.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. until service tiem at Williams Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services are set for Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jack Fitts officiating. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
