Jeffrey Lynn Holland

Mr. Jeffrey Lynn Holland, 53, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, in a Slidell, La., hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Brewton and had resided in Slidell for the past six years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brewton and was active in all the youth activities of the church during his earlier years. He was a 1978 graduate of T.R. Miller High School and attended Jefferson Davis Community College for two years. He was employed in retail merchandising being employed by local grocery stores, Big Bear and IGA. He was also employed by Fred’s, Inc. as store manager and district manager in Mobile and Charlotte, South Carolina he later went on to be employed by Dollar Tree as store manager in Slidell.
He is survived by his wife, Dayna Charlet Holland of Slidell, La.; one daughter, Jennifer Holland of Brewton; one step daughter Alexis Vicknair of LaPlace, La.; one step son, Michael Charlet of Slidell, La.; three grandchildren Jessica, Starr and Taylor of Brewton; his parents, James and June Holland of Brewton; one brother James (Carol) Holland, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; his in laws Harold and Mary Charlet of Louisiana and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. from the chapel at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev Jack Fitts officiating. Interment followed in Green Acres Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
