Brewton police believe they have solved three theft cases with one arrest — and they are looking into more cases in which the suspect could have been involved.

Daryl Luckey, 32, of Brewton was charged last week with several counts in relation to thefts from three locations on Douglas Avenue: a utility trailer, a vehicle at a car dealership and another business, Sgt. Patrick Caylor said.

Two of the incidents happened on the same night, he said.

Luckey was charged with one count of burglary in the third degree, two counts of theft of property in the third degree, two counts of breaking and entering of a vehicle and one count of theft of property in the second degree.

Police are continuing to investigate other cases in which Luckey could be involved, Caylor said.

“Anyone who saw him around certain places or businesses can let us know,” he said.

“Any tips would be greatly appreciated.”
