The W.S. Neal Middle School girls and boys basketball teams split their Wednesday games at Flomaton.
The W.S. Neal Middle School girls fell to 1-3 overall after their took a 33-17 loss to Flomaton while the boys improved to 3-1 with a 38-25 win.
Flomaton 33,
WSNMS girls 17
A 15-0 deficit in the second quarter proved costly for the W.S. Neal Middle School girls as they dropped a 16-point loss to Flomaton Wednesday.
The Lady Eagles led 8-6 after one quarter before being outscored 15-0 in the second quarter to trail 21-8 at the half.
In the third quarter, W.S. Neal outscored Flomaton 5-2 to cut the lead to 23-13. In the fourth, Flomaton ended the game on a 10-4 run to get the win.
Jashira Dees and Maniya Smith both had five points each in the loss while Marisha Frazier had three. Haylee Watson and Dominique Jackson both had two points each in the loss.

Flomaton 25
The W.S. Neal Middle School boys picked up their third straight win with a 38-25 win over Flomaton.
W.S. Neal outscored Flomaton 10-4 in both the first and second quarters to grab a 20-8 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, W.S. Neal had an 11-7 run to grab a 31-15 lead.
Flomaton would end the game on a 10-7 run to cut W.S. Neal, but the Eagles were able to hang on for the win by 13 points.
Jacoby Hawthore led W.S. Neal with 15 points while Marvin Maddox added 13.
Rickey Samuel chipped in six points while Stephen Summerlin and P.J. Lovelace both had two points each in the win.
WSNMS sweeps McCall
In a midday game Thursday at McCall, both the W.S. Neal Middle School girls and boys basketball teams claimed wins.
The Lady Eagles of WSNMS improved to 2-3 overall with a 34-13 defeat of the Lady Wolves while the boys picked up their fourth straight win to improve to 4-1 with a 47-20 win.

McCall 13
Marisha Frazier poured in 18 points for W.S. Neal Middle as they cruised to a 21-point win over McCall Thursday at 1 p.m.
W.S. Neal led McCall 16-1 after one quarter and 16-5 at the half. In the third quarter, W.S. Neal and McCall both scored eight points each as the Lady Eagles held a 24-13 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, W.S. Neal outscored McCall 10-0 to get the win.
Along with Frazier’s 18 points, Jashira Dees added six points while Janiya McCants and Miniya Smith both had four points each. Tazure Thomas added two points.
WSNMS boys 47,
McCall 20
Jacoby Hawthorne poured in 19 points while Marvin Maddox had 15 points to lead the W.S. Neal Middle School boys to a 47-20 win over McCall in the second game of the afternoon.
W.S. Neal led McCall 12-3 after one quarter and 25-9 at the half. The Eagles then took a 41-15 lead into the third quarter before coming away with the 27-point win.
Jordan Hails had three points in the win while Mateo Smith, P.J. Lovelace and Ricky Samuel all had two points each.
BMS:
The Andalusia Middle School boys and girls basketball teams rolled into Brewton Middle School Thursday and captured two wins over BMS.
The Brewton Middle School girls took a 20-15 defeat from the Lady Bulldogs to fall to 3-2 this year while the boys lost 33-9 to fall to 2-3 this season.
Andalusia 20,
BMS Lady Tigers 15
The Andalusia Middle School girls basketball team handed Brewton their second defeat of the season and swept the series with the Lady Tigers this year as they defeated Brewton 20-15 Thursday night.
With Brewton leading 5-2 after one quarter, Andalusia used a 9-0 run over the span of the second and third quarters to tie the game at 5-5 at the half and lead Brewton 11-7 heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, down by four, Brewton was outscored 9-8 in the final quarter of play to take the loss by five points.
Kyla Bell led the Lady Tigers in the loss with eight points while Morgan Longmire had three points. Breonna Dees and Karmaiya Jenkins both had two points each in the loss.
Brewton was 0-for-2 from the free throw line while Andalusia was 8-for-16.
Andalusia 33,
BMS Tigers 9
In the boys game Thursday, Andalusia cruised their way to a 33-9 defeat of the BMS Tigers.
Brewton trailed Andalusia 2-0 to start the game before taking a 4-2 lead with 4:32 left in the first quarter.
That would be the final time Brewton led as Andalusia finished the quarter on a 6-0 run to lead 8-4 after one quarter of play.
In the second quarter, Andalusia increased their run to 17-0 as they led Brewton 19-4 with 1:56 left in the half and 19-7 at the half.
In the second half, Brewton was outscored 14-2 as Andalusia led 24-7 after the third quarter and outscored Brewton 9-2 in the fourth quarter to get the 24-point win.
Joshua Jolly led Brewton with seven points while Kadarius Jenkins added two in the loss.
Andalusia shot 4-for-12 from the free throw line in the big win over BMS while Brewton was 1-for-8.
