In their final game of the Choctawhatchee Thanksgiving Tournament Wednesday, the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers girls basketball team dropped a 34-17 defeat to the Daphne Lady Trojans. The loss made the Lady Tigers 0-3 this season.
In the 17-point loss for the Lady Tigers, Daphne led T.R. Miller 9-4 after one quarter of play and 17-6 at the half after outscoring the Lady Tigers 8-2.
In the third quarter, both teams scored six points each as Daphne took a 23-13 lead into the fourth quarter. In the final quarter, Daphne ended the game on an 11-5 run to seal the win and keep the Lady Tigers winless this season.
Destiny Washington led T.R. Miller in the loss with seven points.
T.R. Miller’s Lady Tigers, along with the T.R. Miller B-team and varsity boys teams, will be back in action Monday, Dec. 2 at Hillcrest. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m. in Evergreen with the B-teams playing first followed by the girls and then the varsity boys.
The game will be the first games of the season for the B-team and varsity boys.
