BMS basketball takes down McCall

The Brewton Middle school girls and boys basketball teams cruised their way to wins Tuesday night at home over the McCall Wolves to get back in the win column.
The Lady Tigers of BMS took down McCall 29-4 to improve to 4-2 this season while the boys team got revenge from an earlier loss to McCall and came away with a 41-12 win. The win for the boys team improved them to 3-3 this season.

BMS Lady Tigers 29, McCall 4
The Brewton Middle School Lady Tigers held McCall to four points in the first half and scoreless in the second half while pouring in 29 of their own points to get the 25-point win.
Brewton led McCall 8-2 after one quarter and 15-4 at the half following a 7-2 scoring advantage in the second quarter.
In the second half, Brewton outscored McCall 14-0 to get the win. The Lady Tigers outscored McCall 4-0 in the third quarter and 10-0 in the second quarter.
Kyla Bell led Brewton with 11 points, Morgan Longmire had eight, Jakyra Spears chipped in six points. Breonna Dees and Malayssia Campbell both had two points each.
Brewton was 1-for-2 from the free throw line while McCall was 0-for-4.

BMS boys 41, McCall 12
After falling to McCall 44-42 earlier in the year, the Brewton Middle School Tigers roared back Tuesday at home with a 41-12 win over the Wolves.
The Tigers used a 5-0 run to start the game and runs of 11-0 and 13-0 later in the game to seal the win by 29 points.
Brewton led McCall 7-1 after the first quarter and built a 16-1 lead later in the second quarter before holding an 18-7 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, Brewton outscored McCall 13-2 to take a 31-9 lead into the fourth. In the fourth, the Tigers ended the game on a 10-3 run to seal the win.
Michael Campbell and Joshua Jolly both led with 11 points each. Hayden Atkinson followed with six points while Stokes Jennings added five.
Demonte Jenkins had four points while Shic Patel and Toby Jenkins both had two points each.
Brewton shot 1-for-10 from the free throw line in the loss while McCall was 4-for-13.
