Interstate 65 near Atmore remains closed Monday morning after a fatal wreck late Sunday night.

Alabama State Troopers are on the scene of the crash that occurred last night at the 51-mile marker near Atmore.

Several vehicles were involved with two confirmed fatalities and one critical injury, troopers said.

The Alabama Department of Transportation has closed and re-routed traffic on I-65 southbound at the 54-mile marker and advised it will be closed for a couple more hours, while clean-up is being done.
