TRM softball sweeps Monroe County

The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers softball team scored early and often Friday night at home as they swept Monroe County in a doubleheader to move to 5-2 this season.
T.R. Miller won game one 15-0 and grabbed a 17-2 win in the nightcap.
In game one, Steely Ruzic pitched three shutout innings to get the win as she allowed two hits, two walks and struck out six.
Madison Douglas and Ruzic were both 3-for-4 at the plate with Douglas having three RBIs and Ruzic having one. Krystal Bell added one in the win as well. Mallori Floyd was 1-for-2 with two RBIs, Abbi Roberts batted 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Caitlyn Smith was 1-for-2, Mary Madison Brown was 1-for-1 and Morgan Longmire was 1-for-1.
In game two, Moriah Brundidge pitched a no-hitter to help T.R. Miller get the 15-run win.
Brundidge pitched four innings and allowed no hits, two runs, walked four and struck out six.
At the plate, Douglas was 2-for-3 with one RBI, Ruzic was 2-for-2 with one RBI and Bell was 1-for-3 with one RBI. Roberts had one RBI while Brundidge was 1-for-1 with three RBIs.
Grace Ruzic had one RBI while Taylor was 1-for-1 with a double and two RBIs and Longmire was 1-for-2.
