WSN JV baseball pitching throws Eagles to two wins Saturday in Atmore

Pitching helped lead the W.S. Neal JV baseball team to two wins Saturday in Atmore.
The JV Eagles used a one-hitter from Dalton Shell to down Monroe County 5-1 in game one.
In game two, W.S. Neal’s Colton Morris, Connor Huskey and Sam Frazier combined for a no-hitter to help lead the Eagles of East Brewton to a 12-0 win over Escambia County of Atmore. The 2-0 day Saturday improved W.S. Neal to 2-1 overall this season.

WSN JV 5, MC 1
Dalton Shell pitched five innings for W.S. Neal and allowed one run, one hit, one walk and struck out 10 to help W.S. Neal to a 5-1 win over Monroe County.
At the plate for W.S. Neal, Rob Jones, Derrick Barton, Nick Laster, and Dakota Graves all had one hit each with Barton and Laster having a double each.
Jones and Graves had one RBI each while Laster had two.

WSN 12, ECHS 0
After a one-hitter in game one, W.S. Neal pitchers tossed a no-hitter in game two to lead the Eagles to a 12-0 win.
Morris, Huskey and Frazier combined to allow no hits, no runs, walked two and struck out five in the win. Morris was the pitcher of record.
At the plate, Frazier, Graves, Matt Hutchins, Lane Chavers, and Alex O’Keane all had one hit each while Shell and Jacoby Hawthorne had two. Hawthorne and O’Keane had a double each.
Frazier, Jones, Shell and Hawthorne had one RBI while Graves had two.
