The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office received 172 complaints for the week of March 1-7, 2014. They also responded to five domestic calls, provided transportation for 32, served 145 civil papers, provided one domestic escort and five funeral escorts.

Domestic disturbance on Hwy. 31, Atmore.

The following charges were filed with The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department for the week of March 1-7, 2014.
March 3
Jeremy A. Green, 26, male of Sowell Road, Brewton, was charged with failure to appear.
Edward W. Spicer, 40, male of Williamson Street, Brewton was charged with failure to appear.
March 4
Joe L. Daw, 31, male of Appleton Road, Brewton, was charged with violation of probation.
Troy S. Smith, 26, male of Old Davidson, Bay Minette was charged with failure to appear and violation of probation.
March 5
Destin L. Day, 21, female of Short Street, Atmore, was charged with failure to appear.
Jeffery D. Gentry, 34, male of Madison Drive, Atmore, was charged third degree theft of property and third degree burglary.
Kendrick Pace, 29, male of Harris Street, Atmore, was charged with distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance
March 6
Kevin Lovett, 34, male of Hwy. 31, Brewton, was charged with two counts of theft by deception.
Peggy J. Cobb, 55, female, of McGougin Road, Brewton, was charged with negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument.
March 7
Ato L. McCants, 35, male, of MLK Avenue, Atmore, was charged with first degree possession of marijuana.
Jerry Buckhault, 18, male, of Williamson Street, Brewton, was charged with second degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
William Morris, 22, male, of Williamson Street, Brewton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ethan Cardwell, 19, male, of Simmons Street, Brewton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The City of East Brewton’s Police Department responded to a total of 38 calls for the week of March 1-7, 2014. They responded to one accident, provided five escorts, one domestic and assisted nine other agencies, assisted two motorists and responded to 20 other calls or walk- in complaints.

The following charges were filed with The City of East Brewton Police Dept. for the week of March 1-7, 2014:
March 5
Robert S. Mickens, 27, male, of 116 Hart St., was charged with sale or distribution of marijuana.
March 9
Michael Knight, 21, male, of 1002 Titi St., Flomaton, was charged with first degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful concealment of a firearm.
