JDCC softball falls to Parkland College

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk softball team took a 6-1 loss to the Parkland College Cobras of Illinois Thursday.
JDCC scored their lone run of the game in the third inning while PC added one in the second, two in the third, and three in the fifth inning to get the five-run win.
Breanna Hall was the pitcher of record. Hall pitched five innings and allowed seven hits, six runs, walked two and struck out five.
Jessica Swindle pitched the final two innings and allowed three hits and walked two.
At the plate for JDCC, Kaitlyn Kenfield, Laura Zeegers, Swindle and Hall all had one single each in the loss.
The Lady Warhawks committed five errors in the loss.
JDCC fell to 7-19 overall with the loss to Parkland.
The score and game information from JDCC’s second game Thursday against the Carl Sandburg Chargers of Illinois was not known as of press time.
