JDCC baseball swept by Wallace-Dothan

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk baseball team was back in conference play Saturday at home against Wallace State-Dothan and the Warhawks took two losses.
Dothan defeated JDCC 10-4 in game one and 11-8 in game two to drop the Warhawks to 7-14 overall and to 4-8 in conference play.
In game one, Dake Rivers, Craig Headley, John-Mark Cosby, Alex Jones, Michael Fox and Taylor Fought all had hits while Logan Hill had two hits with one being a homerun.
Rivers and Jones had one RBI each while Hill had two.
Ryan Roberts, Taylor Baynes and Jacob Fillmore all pitched for JDCC with Baynes taking the loss.
The trio combined to go seven innings and allowed 13 hits, 10 runs, seven earned, walked three and struck out five.
In the second game Saturday, Headley, Cosby, Hill and Fought all had one hit each while Jones had two. Hill had another homerun and three RBIs while Headley and Jones had two RBIs each and Rivers had one.
Roman Donofro, Roberts, Tyler Henry and Nick Helton all pitched for JDCC with Helton taking the loss.
JDCC’s pitchers combined to go seven innings and allowed 17 hits, 11 runs, seven earned, walked four and struck out eight.
