WSN JV baseball goes 1-1 in Andalusia Saturday

W.S. Neal’s JV baseball team went 1-1 in two games Saturday in a tournament in Andalusia.
The Eagles of East Brewton defeated Park Crossing 7-6 and lost to Straughn 3-0. The 1-1 record Saturday moved W.S. Neal’s overall record to 4-2 this season.
Against Park Crossing, W.S. Neal scored two runs each in the first three inning and added one in the sixth while Park Crossing scored two in the first, one in the third and three in the fourth.
Dalton Shell earned the win on the mound going four innings and allowed six runs, four earned, five hits, struck out five, walked two and hit three.
At the plate, Jacobey Hawthorne had a triple and one RBI while Dakota Graves added two singles and a double and one RBI.
Jared Cooper finished with two singles while Colton Morris had a double and Lane Chavers had a single. Shell had a single and one RBI.
Against Straughn, W.S. Neal was blanked on the scoreboard while the Tigers scored two in the third inning and one in the fourth.
Cooper had a triple and Shell had a single for W.S. Neal’s lone two hits in the loss.
