JDCC softball sweeps LBW Tuesday in Andalusia

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk softball team earned two 4-0 conference wins over LBW Tuesday in Andalusia.
With the wins, JDCC improved to 13-30 overall and to 2-2 in conference play.
“Both of our pitchers had a great game along with great defense behind them,” JDCC head coach Misti Nims said.
In game one, JDCC scored two runs in the first inning and one each in the fifth and sixth innings to get the win.
Kaitlin Hadaway earned the pitching win as she went seven innings and allowed three hits, no runs, walked one and struck out nine.
At the plate, Audrey Hamric had one hit and one RBI while Kaitlyn Kenfield added a hit and Jessica Swindle had one RBI. Mindy Walker had a double and two RBIs while Breanna Hall added one hit.
In game two, JDCC scored all four of their runs in the top of the seventh inning to get the win.
Swindle was the winning pitcher as she went seven innings and allowed three hits, no runs, walked one and struck out five.
Kenfield had two hits, Swindle had one RBI and Walker had two hits with one being a double and three RBIs.
Hall added a hit along with Rachel Seitz and Chelsey Ramer had three hits in the win for the Lady Warhawks.
