TRM JV baseball edges Flomaton

The T.R. Miller JV baseball team ended their season with a win Tuesday in Flomaton as they edged the Hurricanes 3-2. The win finished the Tigers with a 2-4-1 record.
Trailing Flomaton 1-0 after two innings, T.R. Miller scored two runs in the fourth inning and one in the fifth to take a 3-1 lead. Flomaton scored one run in the bottom of the fifth to get within one run, but the Tigers held on for the win.
Austin Holmes pitched in the win and allowed four hits, three walks and struck out three.
At the plate for the Tigers, Brooks Brown had a single while Jason Konsler had one RBI. Russell Smith, Jordan Williams, Joshua Winton and Caleb Winton all had one hit each in the win.
T.R. Miller’s varsity baseball team lost to Flomaton 9-5 to fall to 17-8 overall this season. No stats from the varsity game were known as of press time.
