WSN softball gets 6-1 area win over Cottage Hill

Haleigh Dubose pitched a two-hitter for the W.S. Neal softball team as they picked up a 6-1 area win over Cottage Hill in Mobile. The win finished the Lady Eagles with a 4-2 area record and improved the team to 12-8 overall.
W.S. Neal and Dubose held Cottage Hill to one run in the third inning while plating three runs of their own in the second inning and three more in the sixth inning to get the five-run win.
Dubose went the complete game seven innings and allowed two hits, one unearned run, walked four and struck out seven.
At the plate, Madison Winchester had two hits and three RBIs while Tori Wyatt added one hit and two RBIs. Dubose, Christina Robinson, Adria Barnett, Kaeli Brown and KeKe Floyd all had one hit each. Barnett’s hit was a double while Floyd had one RBI in the win.
