WSN softball outscores Hillcrest 28-1 in doubleheader sweep Thursday

The W.S. Neal Lady Eagle softball team cruised to two easy wins over Hillcrest Thursday in East Brewton.
The Lady Eagles outscored Hillcrest 28-1 as they swept the doubleheader. W.S. Neal defeated the Lady Jaguars 15-0 in game one and 13-1 in game two. The wins improved W.S. Neal to 15-11 overall this season.
In game one, Haleigh Dubose pitched a no-hitter to lead the Lady Eagles in the 15-run route in three innings.
W.S. Neal scored one run in the first inning, five in the second, and nine in the third to get the win.
Dubose went three innings in the circle to get the pitching win and allowed no runs, no hits, walked one and struck out six.
Madison Winchester, Tori Wyatt, Dubose, Christina Robinson, Kaeli Brown and Karissa Johnson all had one hit each in the win while Adria Barnett was a perfect 3-for-3.
Dubose and Brown had a double each while Barnett had a triple.
Winchester had one RBI while Wyatt, Dubose, Robinson, and Brown all had two each. Barnett and Johnson also had one RBI each in the win.
In game two, W.S. Neal used a 10-run first inning to propel them to a 13-1 win.
W.S. Neal added one run in the third inning and two in the fourth while holding Hillcrest to one run in the fourth inning.
Dubose once again earned the pitching win as she went five innings and allowed four hits, one earned run, walked three and struck out eight.
At the plate, Winchester, Wyatt, Dubose, Jenna Wyatt, Robinson, and Tiffany Sawyer all had one hit each while Johnson added two. Winchester and Dubose had a homerun in the win.
Winchester and Dubose had two RBIs each while Robinson and Johnson had one each.
