Game recaps: Cal Ripken baseball and softball games played in EB May 5-12

The following are games reported to The Brewton Standard that were played from May 5-12 in East Brewton.

EB Mets 8, EB Royals 7
The EB Mets downed the EB Royals 8-7 last week.
Dylan Ingram and Sammy Wright combined to get the win on the mound for the Mets as they allowed seven runs on six hits, walked four and struck out 13.
Jennings Hobbs and Jacob Bondurant pitched for the Royals and combined to allow eight runs on six hits, walked 10 and struck out 12.
At the plate for the Mets, Samuel Bosarge had two doubles while Caleb Sexton had a double and a single. Wright had a homerun while Walker Cunningham had a single.
For the Royals, Sawyer Lewis had a single, a triple and an inside-the-park homerun in the loss. Petey McCants had a single while Bradley Lowery had a single and a double.

Brewton Rangers 14, EB Cubs 4
In 10U baseball, the Rangers 10-run ruled the Cubs 14-4.
Kobe Curry and Brother Peace pitched in the win for the Rangers and allowed four runs on two hits, walked four and struck out four.
At the plate, Jaxson Flores had a single and a double while Devin Smith, Bodie Hardy, and Peace all had singles.
Turk Morton and Colin Stinson pitched in the loss for the Cubs and allowed 14 runs on five hits, walked 10 and struck out five.
Morton and Tyler Brooks had one single each for the Cubs in the loss.

EB Athletics 4, Brewton Lady Rebels 2
In 10U girls softball, the Athletics doubled up the Lady Rebels of Brewton 4-2.
Ashley Wyatt was the winning pitcher for the Athletics as she pitched a no-hitter and allowed two runs, six walks and struck out 14.
At the plate, Sydney Aaron had a single along with Brianna Moye, Kendall Carpenter and Wyatt.
Courtland Salter pitched in the loss for the Lady Rebels as she allowed four runs, four hits, walked two and struck out seven.

Brewton Dodgers 12, EB Braves 3
In a 10U baseball game Thursday in East Brewton, the Brewton Dodgers cruised to a 12-3 win over the EB Braves.
Payton Rowell and Adam White pitched in the win for the Dodgers as they allowed three runs on five hits, walked four and struck out five.
Ty Qualls hit two singles and a triple while Trent Cooper and Brennon Maxwell had a single each along with Ed Dolihite and White.
For the EB Braves, Troy McCall and Dakota Rose pitched in the loss as they allowed 12 runs on seven hits, walked 11 and struck out nine.
Cole Driskell had three singles in the loss while Cameron Watson had two.

Brewton Red Sox 11, EB Royals 9
The Brewton Red Sox edged out the EB Royals 11-9 in a recent interleague game.
Stone Martin and Landon Sims pitched in the win and allowed nine runs on eight hits, waked two and struck out eight.
At the plate for the Red Sox, Whitley Lisenby had a single while Will Adams had two doubles and a triple. Martin had a double and a homerun while Sims had a single and a triple.
JD Hartin added a single along with McGowin Bethea.
For the Royals, Sawyer Lewis and Jacob Bondurant pitched in the loss and allowed 12 runs on 10 hits, walked two and struck out one.
Petey McCants had three singles while Bondurant and Jennings Hobbs had a single each. Lewis added a double while Paxton Scurlock and Austin McCall had one single each in the loss.

EB Athletics 6, Brewton Dynamite 1
Ashley Wyatt pitched another no-hitter for the Athletics as she led her team to a 6-1 win.
Wyatt allowed one run on no hits, walked five and struck out seven in the win.
At the plate, Kendall Carpenter and Natalie Wyatt had one single each while Wyatt had two.
Chloe Smith pitched in the loss for Brewton and allowed six runs on four hits, walked five and struck out four. Abby Terrell scored the lone run.

Brewton Braves 10, EB Cubs 4
Monday night in East Brewton, the Brewton Braves handed the EB Cubs a 10-4 loss.
Logan Rowell was the winning pitcher for the Braves as he allowed four runs on two hits, walked 10 and struck out five.
Turk Morton took the pitching loss for the Cubs as he allowed 10 runs on eight hits, walked four and struck out six.
For the Braves, Bracken Pettis had two singles while Kyle Blevins had a single and a double.
Brown Thomas added a single and a double while Tristan Capers had a single.
For the Cubs, Tyler Brooks and Morton had one single each in the loss.
