“Best of the best.” Who doesn’t want the honor of that distinction? Especially when it comes to business.

As part of The Brewton Standard’s newest promotion, readers can now vote on the best of the business community as part of the “Best of the Best” reader campaign.

“For last couple of weeks, we’ve been running a ballot inside the print edition of The Brewton Standard,” said Publisher Stephanie Nelson. “This is a great opportunity to shine the spotlight on the people who make our business community so unique.

Ballots can be found inside the print edition of The Brewton Standard.

“Everyone has a favorite dentist, hairdresser or mechanic,” she said. “This campaign lets the community know who those people are. The way the ballot works is that readers are asked to fill out each of the categories included with the names of their favorite business, person and the like.

“Those entries must be mailed or hand-delivered to our office no later than June 13,” she said. “The results will be tabulated and announced in a special publication in July.”

The contest is also open to favorite eateries, foods, medical professions and more, she said.

“There are nearly 100 categories for people to cast their ballot in,” Nelson said. “And if you think we’ve missed a category, let us know so we can add it next year.”

Nelson asked readers to limit votes to Brewton and East Brewton locations. Simply complete the ballot found on page 6B for your favorite in each of the categories listed. All blanks must be filled in with choice or N/A (not applicable) to be a valid ballot.

Mail or bring ballot by The Brewton Standard office located at 407 St. Nicholas Avenue, P.O. Box 887, Brewton, AL 36426.

Results will be published in the 2014 Best of the Best Readers’ Choice supplement on Wed., July 19.
