Brewton’s Advanced Babe Ruth team opens season with two wins over CC

In their first two games of the season Tuesday, Brewton’s Advanced Babe Ruth baseball team started the season 2-0 with a sweep of Covington County. Brewton won game one 8-4 and game two 10-2.
Darby Black pitched the first game for Brewton and gave up three hits and one earned run. Tyler Joyner pitched the second and gave up two hits and one earned run Caden Lodge pitched the last inning for Brewton.
Lodge had three hits for Brewton while Joyner had three including a three-run double.
Damion Williams had three hits including a two-run double. Black had three hits and a two-run double as well. Mike Williams had two hits with one being a double. Dakota Graves had two hits and Trevaris Groomes chipped in a single to round out the hitting in the doubleheader played at LBW.
The venue was changed because of the light situation at Johnson Park in East Brewton.

• June 23, Greenville, TRM, Home, 6 p.m.
• June 24, Covington County, LBW, 6 p.m.
• June 28-29, Mobile Raw Dogs Tourney, Spanish Fort, TBA
All non-tournament games will be doubleheaders.
