In preparation for Thursday’s summer play-date and for the approaching 2014 season, T.R. Miller’s volleyball team took part in a three-day team camp recently at Brewton Middle School.
T.R. Miller’s Brewton Middle School team, TRM’s JV team and TRM’s varsity teams took part in the event.
The teams worked on basic volleyball drills including hitting, passing, serving, team defense and other volleyball drills during the time.
The Lady Tigers practiced Monday and Wednesday from 8 to 11 a.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said he thought team camp went really good.
“We went three hours a day for three days,” White said. “We crammed a lot of stuff in this week for today’s play-date. We are going to go back (this) week and slow down and coach more…instead of cramming it in. It was a good week. We had everybody here for all three days and had no problems.
“It was just a good week. Everybody worked hard.”
