WSNMS sweeps Flomaton Tuesday to start season 2-0

W.S. Neal Middle School’s volleyball began their 2014 season Tuesday at home against Flomaton and came away with a sweep of the Lady Hurricanes. The two teams played a doubleheader with W.S. Neal starting the season 2-0.
In the first match of the day, W.S. Neal Middle School won 2-1. In the second match of the day, WSNMS won 2-0.
In game one, W.S. Neal lost set one 25-22, but rallied to win set two 27-25 and set three 15-11 to get the win.
In set one of match one, Caitlin Hartsel led with eight service points while Aleigh Lanier finished with five, Dominique Jackson finished with four and Arieyona Collins and Tori Gillam both had two. AaLeaya Conway added one in the loss.
In set two, Kimberly Stuckey and Jackson both led with six while Hartsel and Lanier had five each. Collins finished with three and Raven Woods added two.
In the third set tiebreaker, Collins and Lanier led with five in the win for WSNMS. Wood added three and Stuckey and Jackson had two each.
In the second match of the day, Collins led with nine service points in set one.
Stuckey added five while Gillam and Hartsel had four each. Jackson added two and Lanier had one.
In set two, Collins and Hartsel both finished with six service points each to lead in the win while Stuckey had four, Lanier had three, and Jackson finished with two.
