TRM cross country runs in Jay

Running in the 9th annual JD. Mac cross country invitational Saturday at Bray/Hendricks Park in Jay, T.R. Miller girls team took eighth place overall while the boys took 12th.
The girls race saw a total of 112 runners and 16 teams while the boys race saw 117 runners and 17 total teams.
In the girl’s race, Allie Nelson placed fourth overall with a time of 19:22.70 and Tarah Townsend placed 40th overall with a time of 22:47.24.
Kelsi Lum and Peyton Baxter took 61st and 62nd respectively with times of 23:26.26 and 23:39.10 while Sarah Byrd finished 67th with a time of 24:04.86.
Carmen Knowles’ time of 24:57.34 gave her an 82nd place finish while Breanne Huff rounded out the Lady Tigers with a time of 26:49.41 for 100th place.
Nelson’s time gave her a national silver standard time along with seven total runners.
In the boy’s race, Travis Carlson led T.R. Miller with a time of 18:42.55 for 45th place while Micah Flores’ time of 18:58.43 earned him 51st place.
Noah Morris came in 73rd place with a time of 20:30.41 while Walker Harris came in 75th with a time of 20:31.08.
Tucker McDaniel, Tanner McDaniel and Nash Diercks rounded out T.R. Miller.
Tucker McDaniel came in 83rd place (20:55.99) while Tanner McDaniel came in 90th place (21:13.83). Diercks finished with in 91st place with a time of 21:14.29.
