JDCC softball team recognized as top-10 academic team

The 2013-14 Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk softball team was recently recognized by the National Fast pitch Coaches Association as a Top-10 Academic team. The team is ranked No. 9 for their 3.299 team grade point average.
“We also had seven of players that were also recognized by the NFCA as an All-American Scholar-Athlete,” JDCC head coach Misti Nims said. “They had to have a 3.5 GPA for the school year to receive this honor. I want to congratulate these kids for their hard work.”
The seven team members were: Caroline Clark, Kena Ellison, Kaitlin Hadaway, Kaitlyn Kenfield, Rachel Seitz, Moriah Trujillo, and Laura Zeegers.
