TRM and WSN football both fall in second round Friday to see seasons end

Both the T.R. Miller Tigers and the W.S. Neal Eagles saw their respective seasons come to an end Friday night on the road.
TRM lost to undefeated Montgomery Academy 30-28 while WSN lost to the Munford Lions 29-22.
TRM ends their season 10-2 while WSN ends 7-2.
For TRM, the Tigers trailed 20-14 at the half. TRM led 28-27 with just under five minutes to go.
MA kicked a field goal with just under two minutes to grab the 2-point lead and eventually take the win.
For WSN, the Eagles led 8-6 at the half after both teams scored with under 1:00 left to play in the second quarter.
Munford led 22-15 after three quarters. Both teams scored seven points each in the fourth quarter.
TRM has now lost in the second round six times in last nine years.
WSN’s last second round win was in 2003 against Montgomery Academy.
