BMS and WSNMS basketball splits Thursday

In their second and final meeting of the season Thursday in East Brewton, the Brewton Middle School basketball teams and the W.S. Neal Middle School basketball teams played to the same outcome as their first meeting.
The BMS Lady Tigers earned their second win over WSNMS as they won 33-13. The win improved BMS to 3-0 this season while WSNMS fell to 0-3.
In boy’s action, WSNMS earned a 35-31 win over the Tigers to move to 2-1 this season while the Tigers fell to 1-2.
In girl’s action, BMS led 8-1 after one quarter and 16-3 at the half. The Lady Tigers then roared to a 24-5 lead at the end of the third quarter before earning the 20-point win.
Tori Gilliam led WSNMS with five points. For Brewton, No. 23 (no name provided) led with 21 points.
In the boy’s game, WSNMS led BMS 10-4 after one quarter of play and 17-13 at the half.
In the third quarter, WSNMS took a 28-23 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth, WSNMS held off Brewton for the four-point win.
Ricky Samuel led WSNMS with 15 points. Brewton’s No. 11 (no name provided) led with 17 points.
