WSNMS basketball splits with Flomaton

W.S. Neal Middle School’s boy’s basketball team improved to 4-2 overall this year while the girls fell to 0-6 Monday at home against Flomaton.
The Eagles won 39-25 while the girls lost 23-17.
In the boy’s game, WSNMS led 4-2 after one quarter and 10-8 at halftime. In the third quarter, WSNMS held a 13-11 advantage to grab a 23-19 heading into the fourth.
In the fourth, WSNMS ended the game on a 16-6 run to get the win by 14.
Jordan Hails led with 11 points while Taylor Fountain and Mateo Smith both had 10.
Ricky Samuel chipped in six points and Matthew Thomas had two.
In the girl’s game, Flomaton led 5-3 after one quarter and 9-5 at the half.
In the third quarter, Flomaton took a 15-12 lead before getting the win by six points.
Raven Woods had 10 points, Tori Gillam had two along with Alyssa Askew and D’ajaryn Elliott. Camille Smith added one point.
