The search is off for a longtime Brewton hunter from Pensacola, Fla., reported missing Sunday after he was found dead Wednesday morning off Hwy. 31.

Daniel Eric Doelker, a 39-year-old member of the Condon Hunting Club near Mancil Rock Road, was last seen around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the Brewton Huddle House. He had not been seen or heard from since, Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said. Police had been searching for Doelker for days. Doelker was found Wednesday morning near Creamer Dozier Service on Hwy. 31. Details of his death were not immediately available. The Brewton Standard will update the story as more details become available.
