JDCC basketball drops two games

Jefferson Davis Community College’s Warhawk basketball team traveled to Tallahassee for Thanksgiving and came back with two losses to see their record fall to 1-5 overall this season.
The Warhawks lost to Tallahassee Community College 79-52 on Wednesday and fell to Northwest Florida State College 107-61 on Thursday.
JDCC will play their lone December game Saturday at home against Southern Union. Game time is set for 3 p.m.

In their first day in Tallahassee Wednesday, JDCC lost to TCC 79-52.
The Warhawks of JDCC trailed 47-20 after the first half of play. In the second half, both teams scored 32 points each as JDCC took the loss by 27 points.
Fletcher Forte led JDCC with 12 points and Keenan Williams added 10 in the loss. Jerry Aaron followed with nine points while Zollie Johnson had seven and Adrian Rich had five.
Brandon Davis had four in the loss and Darren Wilson had two.
Davis led with two offensive rebounds while Rich had seven on defense and led with seven total. Rich also led with three assists and two steals along with Keenan Williams. Davis led with one block in the loss.

JDCC 61

NWFSC hung 100 points on JDCC Thursday as they took down the Warhawks 107-61.
JDCC trailed 49-29 after one half of play and was outscored 58-32 in the second half.
Williams led with 17 points and Rich added 11. Davis chipped in three points and Forte had six.
Wilson, Truman Whitaker, and Rodney Gilbert all had three four points each while Jarvis Knight had three and Aaron and Ty’Qwan Bonner both had two points each.
Wilson and Davis led with three offensive rebounds each while Forte and Davis had three on defense. Davis led with six total.
Williams led with two assists and Rich led with three steals.
