JDCC Warhawks suffer third straight loss

In their lone game during the month of December Saturday at home against Southern Union, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team took a 73-53 loss. The loss dropped the Warhawks to 1-6 overall this year.
In the loss Saturday, the Warhawks trailed 34-23 after one half of play before being outscored 39-30 in the second half to take the loss by 20 points.
Adrian Rich led the Warhawks with 13 points while Keenan Williams added 12. Fletcher Forte poured in nine points while Jerry Aaron and Brandon Davis had eight points each.
Darren Wilson had three points and Ty’Qwan Whitaker added one point in the loss.
Rich, Wilson, and Bonner all led with two offensive rebounds while Davis had seven on the defensive side to lead with eight total.
Rich also led with six assists and one block along with Davis. Forte and Bonner both led with two steals each for the Warhawks.
JDCC will be back in action on Tues., Jan. 6, at 6:30 p.m. at home against Marion Military.
