Police tape surrounds Brewton’s Colonial Inn this morning as officers investigate a woman’s early morning death.

Reports indicate the woman – whose identity has not been released – was found at approximately 6:45 a.m. Monday. Her body is being sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.

The death appears to be of natural causes, officers said.

The case is under investigation by the Brewton Police Department.
