Charlene Day Baggett
Brewton

Charlene Day Baggett, 64, of South Baggett Circle Brewton, passed away Sat., Jan. 3, 2015, in a local hospital after a brief illness.
She was a native and long time resident of McKenzie before moving to Brewton. She was a member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church, a graduate of Evergreen High School, a former employee of Wal-Mart, and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Troy Baggett of Brewton; three sisters, Annette Jones of Atlanta, Bonnie Driver of Brewton, and Alice Jane Clark of Mobile; a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held today from 10 until 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Brewton.
Funeral services will also be held today at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Craig officiating. Interment will follow in Weaver Cemetery in Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

Faye Carnley Cooper
Brewton

Faye Carnley Cooper, 66, of Indian Lane Brewton, passed away early Tuesday morning, Dec. 30, 2014, in a Pensacola, Fla., hospice facility after an extended illness.
She was a native and life long resident of Brewton. She was of the Nazarene faith, a retired school bus driver from the Escambia County, Alabama School System with 24 years of service, and a homemker.
She is survived by one son, Tony (Michelle) Cooper of Spanish Fort; three daughters, Sharmon (Joey) O’Bannon of Brewton, Amy (Jeremy) Gruber of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Amanda (Jesse) Lee of Brewton; one brother-in-law, Jr. (Myrtice) Carnley of Brewton; one sister, Mae (Calvin) Cooper of Brewton; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Cooper; her parents, Ervin and Druscilla Carnley.
Funeral Services were held Thursday afternoon, Jan. 1, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Turner officiating. Interment followed in Green Acres Cemetery in Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton, directing.

Constance Marshaye Hartley
Brewton

Constance Marshaye Hartley, 52, passed away on Mon., Dec. 29, 2014.
She was born on July 11, 1962, to Dorothy Hartley McCants and the late Jerome McCants, Sr. in Brewton. She loved people, everybody was somebody to her and through her loving and caring nature came the fondness and acquaintance of many. She was baptized at an early age and became a member of Old Springhill Primitive Baptist Church where she remained a member throughout her life.
In her lifetime, she was blessed to become a mother to her only child Jerome. She loved her son. She later became a grandmother and was called “granny” and “na-na” and was always involved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome McCants, Sr.; her grandmother, Betty Mae Fantroy; her grandfather, Sam Montgomery; a very special aunt, Mary Bell Deere; a loving uncle Richard Rentz; and a sister, Glenda McCants.
She leaves to cherish her memory; a dearly loved son, Jerome McCants of Tuscaloosa; a loving and devoted mother, Dorothy McCants of Brewton; brothers, Benjamin (Anna) Hartley of Jacksonville, Fla., Jerome McCants, Jr. of Indian Head, Md., and Virgil Harris of Brewton; sisters, Veronica Faye Page of Brewton, Dionne (William) Henderson of Mobile, Juana McCants McCullough of Pensacola, Fla.; six aunts and four uncles; great aunt Mattie Gantt of Brewton; a special uncle, Frank (Esther) Washington of Killeen, Texas; granddaughters, Jazzman Berry of Brewton, Janiya McCants of Brewton; nephews Rickey Page, II; nieces, Tamekia Causey, Mikki Curtis, Midori Hartley, Nicole Hartley; and a host of great-nieces and nephews; cousins, friends, and all who knew and loved her; special God-children, Aquila Strother, Nathanyel Lewis, Mark Curry, Deddrick Little; and a host of others who loved her and affectionately called her Momma.
Services were held Sat., Jan. 3, at 2 p.m. at Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Brewton with the Rev. Eric Andrews, pastor, M. Benjamin Massey officiating, pastor Frank Osby, eulogist.
Internment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Brewton.

Robert L. “Watt” Bradley, Sr.
Evergreen

Robert L. “Watt” Bradley, Sr., was born on Sept. 7, 1945, to the late Kerfew and Laura Bradley. He departed this life on Dec. 26, 2014. He was preceded in death by two siblings, his brother Willie James Bradley, and his sister Willa Lee Bradley.
His school days were spent at Sandy Grove School in the Johnsonville Community and the Conecuh County Training School in Evergreen.
At an early age, he joined the Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was joined in holy matrimony on April 12, 1968 to Emma Jean Hale Bradley. They were married for 45 years and blessed with four children.
He was employed at T.R. Miller Mill Company in Brewton for over 29 years and retired in February 2009 due to his failing health.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Emma Jean; four daughters, Carolyn Bradley of Monroeville, Mary Brazile and Priscilla Bradley Ellington, both of Brewton, and Sabrina Bradley of Evergreen; one son, Robert L. Bradley, Jr. of Pensacola; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a loving sister, Sarah Samuel of Evergreen; mother-in-law, Geneva McCorvey of Brewton; three sisters-in-law, Ruthie Brundige Bradley of Evergreen, Dorothy (Howard) Harrison and Gloria (Cary) Barton, both of Brewton; one brother-in-law, Joe (Malinda) McCorvey of Brewton; three aunts, Minnie Ruth Bradley and Katie Bell Kent, both of Evergreen, and Willie Bell Ammons, of Omaha, Neb.; one uncle, Frank Bradley of Omaha, Neb; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services were held Sat., Jan. 3 at 11 a.m. at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Evergreen with the Rev. Duron K. Odom, pastor, and the Rev. Sam Bradley officiating.
Interment followed at Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Evergreen.

Sallie Mae Roche

Sallie Mae Roche (nee Odom), peacefully passed into Heaven at the age of 89 on
Tues., Dec. 30, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents Eric Visher and Lottie Mae (Johnson) Odom. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard E. Roche.
She was a beloved mother of 10 children, Cheryl Verel, Richard C. Roche, Bennison Roche (Donna), Kathleen L. Loesch, Thomas E. Roche (Lisa), Carole Ann Penning (Paul), John P. Roche (Jill), Teresa Lynn Roche, Patrick A. Roche and Michael W. Roche.
She is survived by four brothers and three sisters, Autrey Odom, Billy Ray Odom, James (Pete) Odom, Ronnie Odom, Irma Jean Westcott, Delores Rawls and Charlotte Marie Odom.
She joins her siblings Earnest, Ella Mae, Johnnie, Cecil, Shirley and Burton in eternal rest.
A cherished mother in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, she was a woman of strong faith. She loved her family and enriched each of their lives with her kind words, generosity and wonderful smile.
Funeral services are planned for Tues., Jan. 6, at New Bethlehem Baptist Church (Crossroads). Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service at noon.
The family is being served by Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Tim Smith
Hartselle

Funeral services for Tim Smith, 46, of Hartselle were held Mon., Jan. 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Randy Ashley, and the Reverend Ronnie Marvutt officiating.
Burial will be at Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Winston County. He was born June 13, 1968 in Escambia County to James Albert and Jane Ward Smith. He passed away Thurs., Jan. 1, at his residence.
He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, served in the United States Army for nine years, and was a dog rescue volunteer.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Rhoads Smith of Hartselle; son, Tucker King of Hartselle; mother, Jane Ward Smith of Brewton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Margaret Rhoads of Hartselle; brothers, Jeffrey Allen (Lisa) Smith of Madison; and Christopher Michael Smith of Dothan; three aunts, Jeanette Barnett, Mavis Prater, Laura Nell Burns; niece, Colleen Smith; and nephew, Garrett Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dog Rescue Foundation.
