An Atmore man was arrested Thursday for allegedly stalking a Brewton woman.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office reportedly arrested 27-year-old Jacob

Eugene Dinkins of Estates Lane and charged him with first-degree stalking and violation of probation.

“On Jan. 6, the ECSO received a call from a female victim wanting to file a report for stalking,” Sheriff Grover Smith said in a press release. “(Dinkins allegedly) had been calling her repeatedly, following her to her job and sitting in the parking lot, and had most recently, been found standing outside her residence.”

Dinkins is currently being held without bond in the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
