JDCC basketball drops fifth straight game

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team saw their losing streak grow to five straight losses Thursday night in Andalusia at they took a 54-44 loss to the Saints. The loss dropped the Warhawks to 3-12 overall and to 1-6 in conference play.
JDCC was outscored 28-26 in the first half and 26-18 in the second.
JDCC found themselves down four points with 1:15 to go and at the line for two free throws. From there, the Warhawks missed both shots and had to foul the rest of the game to stop the clock and ended up taking the loss by 10 points.
Brandon Davis led the Warhawks with 16 points while Adrian Rich added 13.
Keenan Williams finished with six points and Fletcher Forte had five. Ty’Qwan Bonner and Zollie Johnson both had two points each.
Brandon Davis led the Warhawks with eight rebounds, with all eight coming on defense. The Warhawks had only two offensive rebounds with Darren Wilson and Jerry Aaron having one each.
Bonner led with four assists and Davis led with three blocks.
JDCC was 10-for-22 from the free throw line while LBW shot 10-for-13.
The Warhawks had 25 total rebounds to LBW’s 39 and made 18 turnovers in the game while Saints committed only one.
