County baseball tourney to be played in Atmore

The 2015 Escambia County baseball tournament will be held in the coming weeks in Atmore as Escambia County High School will be the host school.
The tournament will be played Tues., Feb. 24, Thurs., Feb. 26, and Fri., Feb. 27.
Game times will be at 4 and 6:30 p.m. each day.
On Tuesday, ECHS and T.R. Miller will begin play at 4 p.m. followed by Flomaton and W.S. Neal at 6:30 p.m.
On Thursday, W.S. Neal will play ECHS at 4 p.m., while T.R. Miller and Flomaton will meet in the night cap.
Friday’s games will pit Flomaton and ECHS against each other at 4 p.m. while T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal will battle each other at 6:30 p.m.
The teams listed second will be the home teams in each game except in Friday’s games. Friday’s home team will be decided by a coin toss.
If games get rained out, they will be played the next playing day. Games will stay in order and the last games will be played on Saturday, if necessary.
In case of a tie, the tie-breaking rules will consist of: head-to-head; least runs given up; most runs scored; and coin toss.
