JDCC basketball falls in OT to conference leading Faulkner State

Playing Southern Division conference leader Faulkner State Thursday night in Bay Minette, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team led early but faded late as they suffered a 79-71 loss in overtime. The loss dropped JDCC to 5-15 overall and to 2-8 in conference play.
The Warhawks of JDCC led the Sun Chiefs 32-28 after one half of play, but was outscored 35-29 in the second half to see FSCC tie the game at 67-all and force overtime.
In overtime, JDCC was outscored 12-4 to take the loss by eight points.
No other stats or game information was known as of press time.
JDCC will be back in action Monday and Thursday as they will host conference foes Chattahoochee Valley and Wallace-Selma.
Game time will be 7 p.m. for both games.
Following the two home games, JDCC will travel to Alabama Southern in Monroeville on Mon., Feb. 23 before closing out the season with a home game against LBW on Wed., Feb. 25. Both games will be at 7 p.m.
