JDCC baseball falls in Mississippi

Playing at East Central Mississippi Friday, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk baseball team took a 6-1 loss to fall to 3-6 overall this season.
JDCC was held to only three hits in the five-run loss.
The Warhawks saw their lone run come in the second inning while EC ked JDCC 3-0 after one innings and 5-1 after two innings. East Central added one more run in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Matt Gillis, Taylor Baynes, and Dylan Johnson all pitched in the loss. The trio combined to go eight innings and allowed 10 hits, six earned runs, walked five, struck out six and hit two batters.
At the plate for JDCC, John-Mark Cosby went 1-for-4 along with Brandon Davis. Craig Headley was 1-for-3 with a double in the loss.
The two teams were to play a seven-inning game later in the day.
