JDCC baseball falls to Faulkner State in Mississippi Friday

In their second game of the day in Mississippi Friday, JDCC’s baseball team lost to Faulkner State 5-2 to drop to 3-7 overall this year. With the game tied at 2-all after the top of the sixth inning, FSCC scored three in the bottom of the inning to suffer the three-run loss.
FSCC’s other runs came in the fifth inning while JDCC was held to one run in the first inning and one in the sixth.
Nick Boswell and Bailey Hansen both pitched in the loss for JDCC and combined to go six innings and allowed five hits, five earned runs, walked one and struck out five.
At the plate for JDCC, Brandon Bilek, Brandon Davis, Riley Stokes, Austin Armstrong and Alec Talley all had hits. Bilek and Stokes had one RBI each. Talley had a double while Stokes had a homerun.
