WSNMS baseball starts season with loss to Flomaton

W.S. Neal Middle School’s baseball team began their season Monday at home against Flomaton and suffered a 6-4 loss to start their season 0-1.
Trailing Flomaton 2-0 after three innings, WSNMS rallied with a three-run fourth inning to take a 3-2 lead. From there, Flomaton outscored WSNMS 4-1 to get the win by two. Flomaton scored three in the top of the seventh inning.
Ty Williams had two hits for WSNMS and added three RBIs in the loss. Jennings Hobbs had one hit.
Matthew Thomas and Dylan Ingram pitched in the loss with Ingram being the pitcher of record.
Thomas went four innings and allowed two runs, two hits, walked three and struck out five. Ingram went four innings and allowed four runs, two hits, walked one and struck out three.
