JDCC basketball suffers fourth straight loss

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team suffered their fourth straight loss Monday night in Monroeville as they fell to Alabama Southern by a score of 60-52.
JDCC led the Eagles of ASCC 24-21 after one half of play, but was outscored 39-28 in the second half to take the loss by 11 points. With the loss, JDCC fell to 5-18 overall and to 2-7 in conference play.
Brandon Davis led the Warhawks in the loss with 16 points while Darren Wilson and TyQwan Bonner both had eight points each. Fletcher Forte finished with seven points, Truman Whitaker had four points along with Zollie Johnson. Jarvis Knight and Jerry Aaron followed with two points each.
Bonner led JDCC with 10 total rebounds including three on offense and seven on defense. Aaron led with three assists while Davis led with two steals and three blocks.
Johnson also led JDCC with two steals in the loss.
