Wyatt’s hit leads WSN softball to area win over Satsuma Tuesday

With the game tied 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning, and two outs, W.S. Neal Lady Eagle softball player Tori Wyatt had the game winning hit and RBI to send WSN to a 4-3 area win over Satsuma Tuesday night in East Brewton. The win improved the Lady Eagles to 3-3 overall and to 1-0 in area play.
The two teams played to a scoreless tie through three innings before WSN plated three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 3-0 lead. From there, Satsuma added one run in the sixth and two in the seventh to tie the game at 3-all. WSN’s run in the bottom half of the inning sent the Lady Eagles to the win.
Wyatt went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and one RBI for WSN while Karissa Johnson, Kaeli Brown and Brianna Pugh all had one hit each.
Haleigh Dubose earned the pitching win for the Lady Eagles as she went the complete game seven innings and allowed three hits, three runs, two earned, walked five, struck out five and hit one batter.
