In wet conditions Friday night at home, both the T.R. Miller JV and varsity baseball teams captured wins over the Flomaton Hurricanes.
In JV action, TRM used a seven-run fourth inning to defeat Flomaton 8-6 to move to 2-3 overall this season.
In varsity action, TRM defeated Flomaton 18-8 in six innings to move to 7-1 overall this season. Of the seven wins this season for the No. 7-ranked Tigers of TRM, five have been by the 10-run rule. The win for TRM was their fifth straight this season.
TRM will open area play Tuesday as they travel to Hillcrest-Evergreen for a 4 p.m. game. The Jaguars will come to Brewton on Friday, for a 4:30 and 6:30 doubleheader.

TRM JV 8, Flomaton 6
Down 3-0 to Flomaton after two innings and trailing 3-1 after the top of the fourth, TRM scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on four hits to propel them to an 8-6 win over Flomaton.
Leading Flomaton 8-3 after four innings, the Hurricanes scored three in the top of the fifth inning and left the bases load in the inning as TRM came away with the win by two.
Joshua Winton pitched TRM to the win as he went the complete game five innings and allowed six hits, six runs, walked seven and struck out nine.
At the plate for the Tigers, O’Neil White had a double and two RBIs while Noah Purdie had two singles and two RBIs.
Winton added two singles and Trentez Johnson had a double and a single.

TRM varsity 18, Flomaton 8 (5 innings)
In varsity action, TRM scored seven runs in the first inning and six in the third inning to hand Flomaton an 18-8 loss in five innings. The win for TRM was their fifth straight win.
TRM led Flomaton 7-1 after one inning, but saw Flomaton cut the lead to 7-6 after the top of the third. In the bottom of the third, TRM plated six runs to take a 13-6 lead, but Flomaton scored two in the top of the fourth to get within 13-8. From there, TRM scored five unanswered to get the 10-run mercy rule win in five innings.
Drew Williamson, JoJo Booker and Stokes Jennings all pitched in the win with Williamson being the pitcher of record.
The trio combined to go five innings and allowed six hits, eight runs, two earned, walked four, struck out four, and hit one batter.
At the plate for TRM, Jones Manning, Booker and Jordan Williams all had two hits each while Williamson, Hunter Brittain and Chris Jones had one each. Manning and Brittain had a double each.
Manning and Jones both had three RBIs each in the win while Booker had two. Williamson, Brittain, Williams and Tim McDonald all had one RBI each in the win.
