Fourth inning dooms TRM softball in area game at Opp

Playing in their first area game of the season Tuesday in Opp, the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers softball team dropped a 10-1 loss to fall to 7-2 overall this season and to 0-1 in area play.
TRM led Opp 1-0 after one inning, but fell to 10 unanswered runs from the Bobcats, including seven in the fourth inning.
Opp plated two in the third inning, seven in the fourth, and one in the fifth inning.
TRM had only four hits in the loss and made six errors.
Myra Reiss and Krystal Bell had one hit each for the Lady Tigers while Mary Madison Brown led with a perfect 2-for-2 day. Reiss had the lone RBI.
In the pitching circle, Taylor Austin pitched and went six innings allowing seven hits, 10 runs, three earned, walked two, struck out one and hit one batter.
