TRM baseball splits with Saraland Thursday

In a battle of top-10 teams Thursday in Saraland, class 3A’s No. 3-ranked T.R. Miller split with 6A’s No. 9-ranked Spartans.
TRM lost game one 5-4 to see their 16-game winning streak come to an end. In game two, TRM won 3-2. With the split, TRM moved to 19-2 overall this season.
In game one, TRM led Saraland 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning before giving up two runs on suicide squeeze plays to take the loss.
Russell Smith took the pitching loss for the Tigers. TRM’s Tripp Floyd started the game and took a no-decision.
In the second game, T.R. Miller scored three runs in the third inning and held on for a 3-2 victory.
JoJo Booker pitched TRM to the game two win.
No other stats or game information from the game was known as of press time.
