Dothan hands JDCC baseball fourth straight loss

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks baseball team suffered their fourth straight loss Saturday as they were swept by Wallace State-Dothan. The losses dropped JDCC to 17-23 overall and to 10-14 in conference play.
JDCC lost game one 4-1 and game two by a score of 5-3.
In game one, Dothan held JDCC to only three hits to take the win.
Brandon Davis, Craig Headley and Dake Rivers all had one hit each. Riley Stokes had the lone RBI.
Garrett Davis and Dylan Johnson pitched in the loss with Davis being the pitcher of record.
Davis went six innings and allowed five hits, three earned runs, walked three and struck out five. Davis hit one batter in the loss.
Johnson went two innings and allowed one hit, one earned run, walked none and struck out one.
In game two, Dothan broke a 3-all tie in the bottom of the fifth inning to defeat JDCC 5-3 and get the sweep.
Brandon Davis led JDCC with three hits. Davis had two doubles in the loss. Headley and Alec Talley both had one hit each. Heath Young, Dake Rivers and Gregory Ciangiotto had one RBI each.
On the mound, Matt Gillis and Nick Boswell pitched with Boswell taking the loss. The duo combined to go six innings and allowed seven hits, five runs, four earned, walked two and struck out three.
