JDCC softball gets swept Sunday at CVCC

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawks softball team suffered a sweep Sunday at Chattahoochee Valley. JDCC lost game one 3-2 in extra innings and game two 13-0. The two losses dropped JDCC to 27-25 overall and to 11-9 overall.
In game one, JDCC tied the game at 2-all in the top of the seventh inning, but suffered a 3-2 loss in eight innings.
Kaitlin Hadaway suffered the pitching loss as she went 7 2/3 innings and allowed 11 hits, three runs, one earned, walked three and struck out six.
Alicia Richardson led JDCC with a homerun. Jordan Swindle, Paige Lambeth, Tristen Boothe and Katlin Hamilton all had one hit each.
In game two, CVCC scored eight runs in the two inning to cruise to a 13-0 win.
Hannah Brake had one hit in the loss along with Savannah Allen. Katlin Bryars led with two hits.
Brake and Bryars pitched in the loss with Brake taking the loss. The duo combined to go four innings and allowed 13 hits, 13 runs, four earned, walked three and struck out two. Brake hit one batter in the loss.
