WSN softball to travel to UMS-Wright Tuesday for area tourney

W.S. Neal’s softball team will travel to UMS-Wright Tuesday to play in the class 4A area 1 softball tournament.
UMS-Wright finished as the regular season area champion and will host No. 2-seed Satsuma and No. 3-seed WSN.
WSN and Satsuma will play at 4 p.m. Tuesday with the winner getting UMS-Wright at 5:30 p.m. The loser of the 4 p.m. game will play the loser of the 5:30 p.m. game at 7 p.m.
The tournament will resume Thurs., April 30 at 5 p.m. with the winner of the 7 p.m. game playing the winner of Tuesday’s 5:30 p.m. in the championship game.
If the loser of Thursday’s game has only one loss, a deciding game will be played at 6:30 p.m.
The tournament will be double elimination. Both the area champion and area runner-up advance to the South Regionals in Gulf Shores.
